Complain, worry, fret....

moan and groan,
feel uneasiness about,
have resentment over.

Oh how many times do we do this??  How many times do I go about my day worrying, complaining, grumbling to God, sighing over the latest sibling argument, another load of laundry, you're in time out again....

...when I can choose to be THANKFUL

Gratefulness is the key to a happy, full, joy-filled heart!

"give thanks in all circumstances, for this is God's will for you in Christ Jesus."
1 Thessalonians 5:18

There will always be something that we could worry over or complain about.
There will be hard times.  Extra bills, sick kids, the house is dirty, there's not enough time to do everything, disease, suffering, loss.

But there is always something to be thankful for.

We have a choice.

What will yours be?

I just finished reading the last few years of your blog. I started right before you found out you were expecting Ian and read thru to your last post in Nov of this year. (Took me a couple days, but very worth it). I found you when I googled NFP blog. My husband and I have been married for over 5 years, but no children as yet. I had my first appt at the Pope Paul VI institute in Omaha a couple months ago, and they think I have endometriosis, so I'm scheduled for surgery for that in Jan. Lately I'm just living day by day to get to the surgery. I'm so hoping that I'll be blessed with children next year. So hard to see other women pregnant and having babies with no infertility problems. You've inspired me to hold on and have faith. Thank you so much for your lovely writing and keeping to your Catholic faith. We too are Catholic and it's good to see another faithful couple like ourselves. An early Merry Christmas to you and your lovely family.

Oh my gosh Suzanne, I'm so humbled by your comment! Thank you for posting this, and if you feel comfortable, send me an email- I can link you to sooooo many amazing Catholic infertility bloggers out there....I stumbled across this entire network of people just like me who were having trouble conceiving or were losing babies! And it totally changed my world to know there are others out there! My email is if you are interested in making some more connections! I will be praying for you and your husband and for your upcoming surgery! God bless!! :)
